Kodachrome Basin State Park, Utah

This is a hidden gem of a park here is Southern Utah!

It’s the land of petrified…….. let’s say spires?

After arriving at my camp, I grabbed my bike and spun around the area snapping photos.

Cool looking skies and red rocks.

A shot looking up the canyon.

I saw a sign that said there are 70 …… spires in the park.

Big spires, skinny spires, red spires, yellow spires.

That one looks like a church spire.

Back at the van….. it’s a unicorn? It is a horned van?

After the bike ride, I went on a mellow (not calling it a hike) walk.

Apparently there spires in the park range from 6 feet tall to 170 feet.

I love to throw in some old tree snags.

This one was shot later in the day, next up I will be grabbing the big camera for some more serious photography. Hoping to shoot some stars tonight but the forecast calls for overcast skies.
