My hopes for some star photography are dashed with some good cloud cover but I grabbed my big camera and headed out for a daytime photography stroll.

It has been a good long time since I’ve done some legit photography. My on going knee rehab results in lack of hikes or backpacking. It has kept the Sony in the bag….. I was surprised to see it hasn’t been out since mid June.

Kodachrome Basin Park offers great photography along with mellow (don’t call it a hike) walking trails.

Snags, red rocks, and beautiful skies!

What is Southern Utah without Slickrock? Yeah Kodachrome has that.

Spires and dead snags.

For all you OGs, yes, Kodachrome Park is named after the OG film company, Kodak.

I’m not sure the name of this spire but it defiantly stands guard over this part of the park.

A little later in the day you can see the blanket of clouds preventing some Milky Way shots.
