Well, after yesterday’s campsite, any other location will be a let down.

Three Island Crossing State Park is located on a spot along the Snake River that the early pioneers use to cross the river.

It offered a great spot for me to spend my last night on the road as it is only about an hour from Boise where I plan to stop tomorrow for a bike ride. It is winter in McCall and the forecast is for more of the same for a while so one more nice ride before heading into winter activities would be a bonus.

Here in Glenns Ferry, the temperature was cool but it is definitely not winter.

After a small hike, I found what appears to be the actual location of the crossing. Hopefully the river was lower when those crossings occurred.
