I’m back home here in Spring now and finally circling around to work on the last images from my Bentonville trip. I laid over at a camp spot just north of Dallas as I trekked down to see Texas Tim. The next morning I was up early to find a good sunrise spot. Since I had a somewhat challenging drive to this park, I was unable to pre-scout my vantage points so ended up just studying the map and hoping for the best.

After stumbling around in the pitch dark for a little while, I found the lakes edge and set up for the shoot. Overall, I don’t think the locations were too bad but the thick overcast skies killed any hope for a colorful morning portrait.

A little work on the photo editor and I came up with a couple images to document the experience.
