After a lunch break, it was time to transition to the mountain bike.
It’s interesting that I have seen these helmet signs everywhere here. Not only that, it works, all the kids in the campground, and there are quite a few on this holiday weekend, are wearing helmets. That is a good thing! Alabama doesn’t seem too backwards to me!
After a goodly amount of time on the mountain bike trails, I popped out on roads like this…… my mountain bike ride turned into a road ride.
At the bottom of the mountain, Lake Cheaha. If you look carefully on the skyline, the park hotel is perched up on the ridge.
After grinding up the hill for a while, a view of the lake.
Now back onto the bike trails.
It was a beautiful early spring day here in the mountains of Alabama.
