I needed to test some new backpacking equipment prior to an upcoming big wilderness trip so Ruby and I headed up to The Twentymile Lakes for an overnighter. The next morning, we woke up to smokey skies and some unusual light over Twenty Mile Lake #1…. This turned out to be the first day of a pretty smokey next few weeks.
