The hike to Anderson Lake starts out in the trees so the first photograph of the adventure occurred well into the hike when we walked into the first high country meadow. The peak on the right is Boulder Mountain. Colors? Yeah we got those!
To the Northeast, the ridges of upper Lake Fork Creek loom over the area. It had rained the night before and the relatively brushy wet trail soaked our legs and feet. It did not detour the enjoyment factor.
This was my last hike with Nicole before she heads back to the big city. This girl loves her home state of Idaho!
Anderson Lake with Boulder Mountain behind, it’s a gorgeous spot relatively close in to McCall.
We had lunch on the peaceful shores of this beautiful mountain lake. I thought back to the time John and I had done nearly the same hike. See that here.
Nicole skips across the tops of this rock bridge as we return back to the car.
