Anderson Lake, Payette National Forest, Idaho

On a rainy Sunday afternoon, John, Ruby and I decided to head out for an easy “Backyard Hike”.  A Backyard Hike for John is one that is super close to town, requires very little preparation, has been done many times before, and is certainly not worth of another Splattski Trip Report…… in other words, it basically starts in our backyard.  We were moving slow so John took some time to pick some huckleberrys which were abondant.

Even Ruby knows this hike well and took time out from squirrel clearing to pose for the media.

Nice view of the Lake Fork Drainage, here is Boulder Mountain.

Anderson Lake with Boulder Mountain in the rain.  Not bad for a “Backyard Hike”!
