As I am sure all of you are aware by now, there is a comet whirling through the inter solar system. Every amateur astronomical photographer and his dog is photographing it so…… here ya go!
This is the view out my back yard here in McCall, it faces north so allows for perfect views of this comet.
Wide angle lens.
It is a very cool sight and reminds me of being a kid and driving with my family in the middle of the night outside of Idaho Falls to get a view of a comet.
Wow, you have captured some great photos of the Neowise comet. Were the photos taken at night or during the morning hours. I would love to see this!☄️

Hi Cindy, sorry for my delayed response, I have been on a 4 day backpacking trip and just returned. I shot the Neowise comet in that blog post about 4:00 a.m. This last weekend, I was shooting it from a mountain top in the late evening around 11:30pm. I will post those pictures in a couple of days. I believe it is still visible in the late evening but is starting to get more faint. Find a dark place and look towards the northwest. Good Luck, Dave

Is it possible to purchase one of your photos of the comet as a gift for a friend in mccall?

Hi Adrian, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I would be happy to help you out with a print. Give me an idea of which image you liked and what format (size and media) you prefer if any. I can then give you an estimate of cost and time to print. Thanks, Dave
