Huntsville State Park, Huntsville, Texas

Crisp early morning ride today just north of Houston.  I was up scouting for some fall colors but I’m a couple weeks early.  Huntsville State Park is about 30 minutes from home and offers probably the areas best mountain biking.  I will be back soon for fall colors which are quite nice.

I love the warning sign as you roll into the park…. “Alligators exist in the park”  Good information!

Last year I came out and rode some of the trails here but many were closed due to Hurricane Harvey damage.  This year, the trails are open and you can see some of the destruction.

I’m guessing that the dam overflow structure was rocking last year after Harvey!

Self portrait of my Camber!  Although not shown in this image, the trail is actually quite rooty, the Camber is an excellent selection today from my golf bag!
