Carcassonne marks a transition day for me as Nicole will be leaving the tour and returning home and I will be quite sad for a bit.  Also, I will have seven straight ride days to my final destination in Provence next Thursday.  Each day will be relatively long and hard, particularly on this lead sled touring bicycle!   Its now going to be more about the bike and the routes for me.  I will be loosing the saddle bags and touristic accessories, kitting up and getting in some good old fashion French training miles!  Time to work off some of the croissants and pain au chocolate!

Today’s posts are from the day spent touring this medieval city and the surrounding town.
