They say that a journey of a thousand miles starts with an easy walk with JoJo and Nicole. It’s November 1st and that has been my target date for starting my return to mountain climbing form. The last peak I summited was on July 15th, you can see that here. That was about 15 weeks ago. I figure it will take another 15 weeks before I’m ready for the next one.

It’s a misting morning after a good solid Halloween rain. Wildlife!

On this late Fall day we have a super mellow and quiet experience in the Boise Foothills. You would never know that we are less than a half mile from downtown and about a mile from the state capitol as the crow flys. As John used to say “That Damed Crow!”

JoJo loves her new life in Boise…..so does Nicole!

An early misty morning keeps all the urban hikers away.

We come out at the cheese grater, finish our hike and head to Blue Sky Bagels. There we found all the urban hikers!

A little later in the day I snap this image. The Boise light is amazing this time of year. Reminds me of southern France.
