After suffering through a knee injury and about a month of smoke season, I’ve spent the last couple of weeks trying to whip myself back into cycling shape, at least enough to participate in the local epic rides….. Today it was time for a McCall super epic! It was a chilly morning, almost chilly enough that one or more of our participants wanted to cancel or move our start time.

Despite the chilly temperatures we rolled out and of course took the high road. Today’s cast, Rich, Barb, Tommy, and myself.

Brundage to Bear Basin is an amazing cross country decent but it starts out as an amazing climb, a long amazing climb! Since I was in semi-photography mode, I ended up shooting photos of the group riding by then spent long periods chasing and talking to myself.

Hints of Autumn!

Once in a while, Rich was kind enough to stop and allow me to position myself in front of the group. Mostly Rich likes pictures of his pretty face on Davefaitlemonde.

Still climbing!

Getting near the top!

Summit!

It’s still smoke season here but overall, not too bad.

Now it’s time for the decent!

Richie!!!

Tommy!

More Tommy! I have one of those jerseys too but mine shrank.

Barb! And, I’m chasing again!

Further down the mountain Barb sneaks down into the Aspen grove and shoots our crew coming through. A great day with amazing friends! Thanks for the photograph Barb!
