Idaho Trails Association – Porcupine Meadows – Gospel Hump Wilderness, Idaho

It’s time for an adventure to a new place for Davefaitlemonde, the Gospel Hump Wilderness, high above the Salmon River. After a pretty rowdy drive into our trailhead, we arrived at our night one car camping spot.

Next morning, we are on our feet with full packs and tools. Soon we were making our way through the blooming bear grass.

It wasn’t too long before we arrived at our day one base camp, Anchor Meadows.

A quick setup of camp……

Then the work begins. After arriving at a teaching log, Pat and David were soon fully integrated into their first ITA Crew.

It was a hot afternoon so day one work started slow. Here, David and Pat stand near Pam and their first cuts. More to come! BTW, this is likely Pam’s 10,000th cut!
