Anyone who follows this blog knows that it is unusual for me to not post for 2 or 3 weeks, well that just means that life is getting in the way of adventure. I’ve been dealing with a bunch of life changes so was in need of a few days in the Idaho wilderness. The Forest Service was in need of clearing the Selway River Trail and has called on the ITA to help them out. We assembled a crack team of Sawyers and headed deep into the Idaho Wilderness.

First up, we head north out of McCall to Grangeville. Below, Lake Payette.

Raina (Pronounced Rain-A) and I met up in McCall then Jerry, our pilot, who took us to Grangeville to pick up Joelle (pronounced Joe – Elle).

Heading out of Grangeville the seed oil crops were a bloomin.

It wasn’t long before we were deep in the Central Idaho Mountains.

We arrive at the Selway Lodge which is a beautiful ranch island along the Selway River deep in the Idaho Wilderness. Try to get here any other way than aircraft and it will take you several days.
Finally, our ride takes off and we are left in the peaceful wilderness for 6 days off line. More to come!
