The next stop on the Davefaitlemonde Eastern swing is at a secluded camping spot on Pensacola Beach. Yesterday’s showers had once again caught up to me and now a bit of cold air pours down from the north. It seems however, additive to the beautiful experience.

Angry seas and white sand beaches.

A little later in the day, the skies are breaking just like the Gulf of Mexico.

I stopped here at Pensacola for a brief family convention, spent the day at the Naval Museum and at the Mardi Gras Parade, then today its off again for more remote adventures.

A slice of tropical haven, I like this place! This is as close to the actual beach as I got. I’m a mountain guy and not a fan of sand in every crease crack and crevice. I’m still getting sand out of the van from my visit to Padre Island back in December.
