Guadalupe River State Park (Day 3), Boerne, Texas

Time for a gravel grind! It’s nice to be back on the Crux, mon velo de France has returned to Texas. Texas Tim met me again today for this Hill Country adventure.

No good gravel ride doesn’t include some pavement.

I always associate this style of gate with Texas. They are everywhere here.

As we cross the Guadalupe River, upstream of the park, Texas Tim and I could not help but stop and soak in the view. I love the Spanish Moss in the trees.

Like many parks in Texas, Guadalupe River Park was once a working ranch which was donated to the State.

I spend a bunch of time in Idaho’s Frank Church Wilderness which in the late 1800’s, has a ton of history from that era. It is cool to see what was happening here in Texas, a world away, during the same period. Thank you Bauer Family for the wonderful park!

Yummy single track!

Remember the wagon ford from yesterday’s post?

More yummy singletrack and quite gravel bike comparable. My tail was wagging!
