Scroll down to content

The second day in Lisbon brought some much more serious sight seeing. Here is the entrance to St. George Castle.

Walking the streets of Lisbon.

Lisbon is know as the San Francisco of Europe, it has a very similar feel and even a Gate Bridge.

Views of the bay and the Tagus River.

City views.

More city views with girls on the overlook. A little similar to the cliff on Lake Rock Lake Rock don’t you think?

Lisbon architecture.

Lisbon Peacock.

Portugal Flag in Lisbon

Lisbon statue.

Lisbon Bridge called Ponte 25 de Abril (in French).

Lisbon building and statue.

Lisbon sidewalk.

Lisbon palm trees.

For dinner, we made a small trek to an off the beaten path restaurant that our friends from McCall had recommended, Lisboa A Noite. What then followed was one of the most wonderful gastronomical experiences of a lifetime!

The highlight was when the waiter asked if we wanted to see the wine cellar……Hell yeah!

Wow!

A master class in Portuguese wines and ports!

After a wonderful and full day in Lisbon, we strolled back to the hotel. Tomorrow, the bike touring begins! Y’all come back!
