Other Ducker Lake (In French: Un autre lac du canard) and Duck Peak, Payette National Forest, Idaho

Around these parts there are more Duck Lakes than you can shake a stick at so we make up our own names for them…… Today’s Duck Lake has long since been re-named Other Ducker Lake by John’s dad, Richard….. See John’s trip report here.

As we climbed up to the ridge above our lake, we had views back down to Goose Creek Reservoir.

To the north, Patrick Butte.

Our first view of Other Ducker. Behind it, our peak for the day, Duck Peak. After a break at the lake, we will climb into the saddle on the left and up the ridge to the peak.

A quite pretty little lake visited by few.

Fishing!

Ruby doing some modeling for me.

Now a view from the ridge up to Duck Peak.

Looking off the other side we see the Lick Creek Mountains and Granite Lake.

Slab Butte from our lunch spot.

More lake views.
