Tour of the Lewis and Clark Valley, Idaho and Washington

As I return to Texas, I need a transition from the snow and ice of Mccall to the now summer like temperatures in Southern Texas. That requires a trip to Lewistion – Clarkston! This area actually has some of the best gravel riding available and always starts along the river. Here is the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers with the State of Washington on the far shore and I am standing in Idaho.

A landmark in the valley, “The Blue Bridge” which believe it or not was referenced by Meriweather Lewis in his journal. If only Meriweather would have had a steed like mine, his journey would have been about a year shorter!

Asotin, Washington, a historical community here along the Snake River.

Finally, the climb up Asotin Creek is one of my favorites!
