Around these parts, when you go on a cross country skiing off groomed trails, its called “Stickwalking”. I met up with Tom and John and we headed out for Tom’s local favorite, Cruickshank Reservoir. Along the way we hiked past Lake Fork Creek.
Snow conditions were quite interesting for both stick walkers and 4 wheel drivers! Don’t get the wrong impression from the following video, Ruby was having a ball! Mostly, she had to stay in our ski tracks which is not in her nature. Several days of relatively warm temperatures and wet snow made for a challenging crust!
