After two nights at Black Lake, it was time for the 12 mile trek back to the Cold Meadows International Airport.

Lunch stop.
After a solid 6 hour hike, we arrived back at the airfield. We then decided to take the 2 mile out and back hike down the runway.
We spent the night at the airport. I was able to snap a shot of the sunset before hitting the sac, I was tired and so was everyone else.
I was up again early to take these last images of the Cold Meadow’s Guard Station right before my camera batteries finally died.
Then it was a small wait at the airport and back to McCall. What a great experience! Thank to the ITA and my expedition mates!
