Dijon to Nuits-Saint-George

Finally, I have a little internet here in Beaune, France so its time to play blog catch up.  These images are from Tuesday, it was a wet, misty, cold, head windy day.  Luckily, the short route option was one of the shortest of the tour so it was only about an hour and a half on the bike.  I managed a few iPhone shots.

Almost immediately after leaving Dijon, you enter the Burgundy wine country.  The roads are quiet, at least this time of years, and the views are amazing!

Small little villages dot the countryside, each with their own church.

Notice the burned spots in this image?  I saw these everywhere and at first thought they were just burning weeds.  Later I found out that when it gets cold, they light fires everywhere to protect the budding grape vines.  Believe me, it was cold here a couple days ago!!

I lifted this image off google and it shows a cold night here in the area.  Wish I could have been here to shoot it myself!
