Today we left Toulouse early on a beautiful Spring morning!! We officially put the Canal Garonne behind us and followed the Canal du Midi all day. The Canal du Midi has a much different feel, smaller and much less straight, it follows the contours of the land which are increasingly growing. Parts of the route are gravel road and actually some single track!!!! Castelnaudary is a quaint small town on a lake connected to the canal system.
