Budapest, Hungary (Day 2)

On day two, it was back out to battle the heat. An early start meant that it was at least barely tolerable.

St. Gerard Sagredo gets his own statue.

From up on Buda Castle we get a nice view of the Danube River.

Random castle statue.

There is that “most photographed building” again.

Statue of Prince Eugene of Savoy, whoever that is.

I don’t usually put food photos on this blog but this resturant was OUTSTANDING! Get the Seafood Spaghetti but most importantly, get reservations months in advance, you will need them! Best meal of the trip!

St. Stephen’s Basilica…… I’m not sure what the difference is between a regular church and a basilica but this house of worship was quite beautiful, especially on the inside.

This is one of the most ornate churches I have ever seen, wow! I think that god really appreciates it when enormous sums of blood and treasure are put into buildings to worship him and his kid.

Finally, a fuzzy image of a structure that does not really fit the character of this city…..
