After four hard days downstream of Bear Creek, it was time to work our way back to the Selway Lodge for tomorrow morning’s flight back to reality.

There were about 30 trees down between Bear Creek and the Lodge, none harder than this one.

After a goodly amount of time we could actually now see the tree.

Raina and Joelle make quick work of the saw cut.

And the obligatory after image. Funny, photographs never do the work justice.

After a good morning’s worth of work, our tired crew was ready to relax on the relatively civilized lawn of the Selway Lodge.

There was even some time available to walk the air strip.

Don’t land to take off before this spot!

A view from the top of the air strip, yes that is a bend. I’m now headed back to civilization where the real work begins!
