Today I start with a few sunrise shots.

This morning it seemed that the horizon was on fire.

Trees and grape vines.

More trees and vines.

This is the Celtic Cross near the center of town and I have shot it many times.

Here is one in a unusual format for Davefaitlemonde.com

Today’s adventure started out with a short road climb as we started out for the trailhead to Belvedere Du Grande Causse. Nicole and Danny have shown up to make a special appearance this week.

As we hike towards the summit we get great views of the Village of Lauret.

Mon Apartment.

Higher up and better views of Lauret.

Ruins or at least recreations there of. The ruins found at this site date back 5000 years.

A little rock scrambling is required on this hike! Class 3+ I would say!

On the other side of the mountain we find a lone tree and the Village of Claret down below.

Nicole claims there is no church steeple in Lauret but this image clearly shows a steeple with a bell.

Back at the apartment and this is the view up in the courtyard.

Now for some sunset images.

As you can see we missed the peak color on the vineyards by a week or so.

Night rises on a wonderful day in France!
