It was like a clown car show at the New Year’s Day parade!

Jill and I started laughing while everyone else was oooing and awing!

I was definitely interested to learn what was happening here and found myself soon rooting for the whales.

After a few minutes, they surfaced again and I managed to get a few shots.

But first cue the Benny Hill music.

Classic!

Now with some scale of size.

Amazing! I will say that it became pretty clear the whales were in change here. They simply disappeared from this point never to be seen again.

We were on a schedule so off we go. Next stop, a beach on Cayo Levantado Island.

It was a nice beach. Not pictured was the mass of humanity behind me in beach chairs and in beachside bars. Apparently after seeing the whales, all the people ended up here.

Back to the dock in 25 minutes! We are on a schedule. Luckily we were further in the bay so seas were quieter.

Next stop, Santa Barbara for a visit to a ranch and what?, a horseback ride to a waterfall?

Santa Barbara harbor. I guess I forgot to mention in yesterday’s blog that while waiting in La Cantina for those two hours we got to know the others in our group. Turns out that we all signed up for different tours. Some signed up for a beach tour, some signed up for a snorkeling tour, we signed up for a whale watch tour. Nobody it turns out signed up for a Horseback ride. Dave on a horse….. come back tomorrow for that!
