Apologies to y’all for being MIA over the last few weeks. Sometimes life takes twists and turns and I am currently churning inside a washing machine! I have suspended adventure time for a couple of months as I prepare to relocate my winter home to Pensacola, Florida.

Why Pensacola????? That is a long story not to be told here. In the short term the move is cramping my adventure life, in the long term, it will open up a whole new world from this new east coast (well Gulf Coast) base camp.

Yesterday I flew into Pensacola and snapped these images out the window. No, they are not from the top of a nearby peak! You may recall that back in February, I climbed Florida’s highest peak and the view was not this! Ok, well I drove to the top! Check that out here.

As a point of reference, this view is directly south of Pensacola looking due north. In the
foreground, Pensacola Beach (a place you will likely never see me!), in the middle is Gulf Breeze, a costal community on an island in Pensacola Bay (again, won’t see me there!) and finally, a three mile bridge to downtown Pensacola.

This image looks straight down the beach towards the east. White sand beaches. Likely some of my Idaho, family and northern tier buddies might be visiting during future winter months! And Mel, I haven’t seen a NASCAR yet!
