Idaho Trails Association – Bear Creek Point (Day 3) – Frank Church Wilderness, Idaho

With the nearby rains yesterday there was plenty of mist around for day 2.

Sunrise!!!! What a great way to start the day which also happened to be my 60th birthday.

Work today started literally at camp!

The fog moved in and out as we worked our way up the flanks of Bear Creek Point.

When we reached the top of the point, the crew took a break to pose for a group picture.

Back to work!, yes there is a trail under that pile, Before….

After.

Before, during and after.

After a moderate work day, the crew ends with a group photo looking north off the ridge.

On the way back to camp, we pause to admire the crosscut team’s work.

This turned out to be the last image of the day, we got back to camp and made dinner. About that time a thunderstorm rolled in and what followed was a good long beatdown. After hunkering under Art’s rain shelter for about an hour, a small break in the downpour allowed us to run to our tents for an early bedtime and listen to the rain most of the night.
