In November, I returned to Texas for the winter and made a stop over in Fort Davis, Texas. I drove in the back way and was mesmerized by this lonely stretch of highway. I stopped right in the middle of the road, got out and shot this image. In the distance, the Davis Mountains and home of the McDonald Observatory.
