Hazard Creek, Payette National Forest, Idaho

Scroll down to content

It’s that time of year the we start the local hiking season with Hazard Creek. This year’s visit might be a bit early due to the low snow pack. Craig, Dakota, and I are joined by Craig’s son Bryan and his dog Dottie. Both dogs were too busy sniffing around to be bothered for a photo.

It was quite a cold morning so all the small tributary streams were coated with ice.

Hazard Falls had a nice coating of ice as well.

Downfall!!!! Craig was really wishing he had brought along his saw…..Both Bryan and I were quite happy he didn’t!

Finally, at the top of the hike, Pollock Mountain never fails to impress. What a glorious Spring day here in the Idaho Mountains!
