Jigsaw Reprise, McCall, Idaho

Scroll down to content

John and I were looking for an easy and close in hike so we decided to head back to Jigsaw. We rarely do the same hike twice in a year much less in a month, but since Jigsaw was my first hike this year after returning from Texas and we did not hit the top, we talked ourselves into returning. See that blog post here: https://davefaitlemonde.com/2020/04/23/jigsaw-mccall-idaho-3/ Here are a couple others from previous times: https://davefaitlemonde.com/2018/06/24/jigsaw-mccall-idaho/ https://davefaitlemonde.com/2019/06/08/jigsaw-mccall-idaho-2/

Jigsaw never disappoints! All the exposed granite warms up during the day and heats the soil. This and the southern exposure makes it one of the first places to find lots of flowers in the McCall area!

Great views as we moved to the top.

I love tree snags images with great background views! Little Payette Lake is below and you can just make out the main Payette Lake just beyond.
