Super hard hike day today with John Platt, 12 miles, 5000 feet of vertical, four peaks, 9 hours and some pucker scrambles!  See John’s trip report on for more trip information.


View off our first peak, Sawtooth, elevation about 8900′.


View just off the top of peak #2, Snowslide, with Maki Lake below (see my blog from last week to see the perspective from lakeside…  Also please note Platt Peak on the right….that was peak #3 today!

John took me well out of my comfort range today!  We  nicknamed this spot “Dave’s Corner”!
