The long journey home has started, with several stops along the way, first Avignon.  Make sure you read the entire blog post today as there is a small quiz at the end!

During the 14th century, the Popes moved from Italy to Avignon and for over 100 years and with 5 different Popes, this was the home of the Catholic Church.  Of course it wouldn’t be the Catholic Church unless they built and over the top Pope’s Palace!  Now its a museum.
