I needed to kill a little time in Albuquerque so I found a nice spot in the nearby foothills.
Seems that every trail I start in the south has a sign that says “look out of rattlesnakes!”
The hills and mountains near Albuquerque remind me a lot of the Boise foothills. Miles and miles of trails and lots of folks out enjoying nature.
This must be Elena Gallego’s old ranch site.
Far below in the valley is the City of Albuquerque.
These trails are open to hikers and mountain bikes and I saw many of both.
A fine place to spend a few hours waiting for a late flight to arrive.
