Yeah folks! It’s time for another Backroads adventure. After a fun shuttle ride to the Valle Azul…. and by fun I mean slow and twisty, we meet with our bikes and have some lunch.

This trip has the new and improved Backroads bikes and they are light years ahead of the old models, Thank you Backroads!

Does this triangle make my ass look big?

After the safety talk and route rap, we hit the road.

Costa Rica Tree.

These guys were fishing without poles, just fishing line and a baited hook….. I saw no catching.

Zoom Zoom!

A special gravel section just for me!

It was hot and humid today so it was a bit of a beat down, I was happy to stop and take the occasional photo break.

Young folks on our ride, somebody brought their kids along which made me miss my kids who I love to bring myself.

Jill made for a great wind breaker into the slight headwind. Truth be told, I broke a little wind myself.

Costa Rican Cows. Do you know how to tell they are Costa Rica Cows?

Interesting fence crossing over the water.

Fruit stand.

Our first glimpse of the Arenal Volcano of which you will likely see many times over the next few days.

Beautiful farmland.

River crossing.

Light rays on the Arenal Volcano.

You get the idea…..

Y’all know I like to photograph trees, and with a volcano…. Bam!

The town of La Fortuna with the cloud toped volcano. Stand by, more to come!
