Next up for the local hikes is Payette Point. This view is of Little Payette Lake from the parking spot.
Anne and Coco head up a track which has already been set….. I think someone was out for a winter solstice hike. (Again, this adventure happened a couple weeks ago and is on the catch up list.)
I gradually work my way to the back so I can get photographs of the entire expedition….. Coco, Anne, Barb, Tom and myself.
As we near the top we get some glimpses of blue sky.
The final push to the summit is always a bit spicy.
Views from the top were quite amazing.
So far this year there has not been much snow but the weeks ahead look good for precipitation.
After snacking on some amazing Susan cookies we head back down.
Barb does not really feel comfortable on snow without skies but today she did pretty well.
