All good things must come to an end….. today is my last full day in France for this trip and therefore here is my last sunrise series.

Almost every day I have had photo worthy sunrises.

My traditional sad stance in front of the leaving Lauret sign….. it was still quite dark when I shot this. I was anxious to get down to the store for my last croissant and pain au chocolate. Sunrise now is after 8:00 am.

For my last activity I plan on doing a traditional departure ride with a few adventures along the way.

It was cool and crisp this morning but not uncomfortable.

Pic St. Loup with some defiantly dormant grape vines.

After a couple of miles I decided to try a forest road which I have never ridden or hiked before.

This road is less than 2 miles from my apartment…… how have I never ridden this????? One thing about staying an extended time here is that I have been able to really suss out some good loop variations.

Oh yeah, we have some views.

If I cobble together a bunch of gravel routes around this area, I’m going to start calling myself the Dee Dub De La South of France!

Now some new routes in the Claret Valley……again, how have I never ridden this!

After poking around for a while I find Lac de Claret….. again, how have I not been here! It is just 3 kilometer from my apartment!

Today we still have water over the road in spots and signs of yesterday’s downpours.

Now for an image from my traditional last day photo spot.

And of course, those that have been here know that the last 3 kilometers of any ride in Lauret need to be this decent on the D17E7.

Finally, one last image of my French home.
