Sommières Saturday Market –  Rocher du Causse – Lauret, France

Scroll down to content

Sorry, no morning pictures of Lauret today, this will be a close substitute as we walk to the Sommières market from the car.

No bridge cat today, I was pretty bummed! I think it was his day off.

Today is forecast to be the best day of the week so our dance card was full.

The Saturday Market! This was my third straight market Saturday here….. I will be back in McCall at this time next week so the corn nut guy will surly miss me.

On an amazing afternoon, we headed out for a hike after returning from the market.

It was mid afternoon but the sun angle was pretty low.

Looking down a shoot of trees into the Lauret Valley.

Mark and Anne on our way up to “Cross no Cross”.

A perfect afternoon weather wise.

Anne doing her less than enthusiastic tribute to the titanic.

A super grainy blow up of the distance ridge…. I believe that is Mont Blanc which is about 180 miles away!!!!! I have been up here many times but never has it been this clear.

A great view of Mont Ventoux and are those the French Alps????

Another super grainy blow up but yes, yes those are the French Alps!

Mark drops in the rock garden.

Moulin de Lafous, a magical spring near Lauret.

Mark checks out the source of water.

Mark does some spelunking to check out where this water actually comes from…… What a great day! Now back to the apartment for some snacks!
