Long Ride for a Thanksgiving Day Panini – Quissac, France

Scroll down to content

Thanksgiving morning in the South of France.

To celebrate the holiday, we decide to head out for a ride then skip charcoochie and go right to dinner.

The River Vidourie above the Village of Sauve.

Rail to Trail!

Interesting water tank along the way.

Mark drops a decent just outside the village of Villesèque.

Another rail to trail. Mark takes a break along the side of the route.

We stopped into the Panini Store and had lunch in the town square.

After grabbing a post lunch coffee, we were on our way. It is kinda weird how life goes on here just like normal on such an important holiday….

We stop by the Chapelle Notre-Dame d’Aleyrac in order to pay our respects for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

After the chapel, we did a little adventure riding.

Anne makes her way up the final climb of the day.

A Thanksgiving toast to a great ride.

And of course Thanksgiving dinner, French style. Turns out turkey is impossible to find here so we used roasted chicken, cheesy French potatoes, salmon, green beans, salads, and apricot tart for desert. We cold not find a pumpkin pie… The only thing missing was some European football on tv. Happy Thanksgiving Y’all!
