After about 12 hours of sleep I woke up to a wonderful day!

First up I needed to stock the apartment with supplies so we hit my favorite vegetable stand! All the veggies I could carry for 22 euros.

A few hours of stocking the apartment and it is time to hit the road. This is my steed for the next month. It appears to be a company frame from my bike rental company but I shall call her Belle Noir, or in English, Black Beauty,

After a few pedal strokes up the hill we have a view of Lauret.

A few more pedal strokes and a view of the surrounding area.

D17E7 perhaps the best 5.3 kilometers of road in the world. Well, at least the best I have ever ridden!

Down below, mon apartment.

Next up a left turn D17E6 and a whole different set of views. Belle Noir’s tires are almost smokin, she is so excited for the next month of adventures.

What a day!

Can you say hairpin?

Jill rolls along the countryside. Don’t let the coat fool you, I was in shorts and a short sleeve jersey, temperatures are in the mid 60s.

A roadside Celtic Cross I have photographed more than once. It is great to be home!

The village of Valflaunes, one of many we will visit over the next 4 weeks. Stay tuned now y’all hear?
