Anybody who knows me knows that I love France and specifically a small village in the South of France call Lauret. Since I have managed to convince the whiff that dumping the winter home in the south of America makes it easy to go to other warm weather locals, I am able to live a long time dream to live an extended time in Lauret. Sooooo, why the Taco Time commercial? Well, my trip starts with a drive to Lewiston and a visit with the parents. One of my favorite fast foods is Taco Time and since there is no Taco Time in McCall, I scratch the TT itch on my way through.

Next day at the crack of dawn it’s time to get this adventure started.

Like any voyage out of Lewiston, the first leg of this journey goes the exact opposite direction you are headed, to Seattle. As we approached Seattle, the clouds broke just in time for a few photos.

At the Seattle Airport, we prepare to get on our Air France flight to Paris. Oh, and the clouds did not remain parted for long.

After an over night flight with almost no sleep for me, I open the window shade to this beautiful sunrise over Europe.

The Paris Airport, Terminal 2F. I love this ceiling and have shot it before but wish I could get on a ladder to get a proper shot.

The next leg of the trip is a flight down to Montpellier. As we approach landing, I shot this view out of the window of the Mediterranean Sea. The camera focused on the window instead of the landscape but you get the idea.

I have been to France more times than I can count and have never driven a car here….. so this should be interesting.

I have ridden a bike in France for over 10,000 kilometers but that 30 k to the hotel was not fun in a car. Made it to my apartment though! At this point it has been about 36 hour with almost no sleep so I am glad to be home!

Next up, an event we affectionately call “Charcoochie Hour” then it will be bedtime!
