On the morning of Day 4, it’s High Ho, High Ho, off to work we go.

Dan and I decided we needed to scout an old trail which heads down to Lower Two Lake. At the bottom of the drainage, we take a right turn and head through the wet grass. The rest of the crew heads up to the ridge. We will meet in a bit on the ridge mid image.

It was pretty obvious by the time we reached the lake that the better choice was the high road. There was almost no trail to the Lower Lake, no real good camp spots, and not much evidence of human visitation.

This image looks back up the drainage. You might notice that the last couple images have some moisture on the lens….. it was quite dewy here and impossible to keep the lens clean.

We meet back up with the crew and commence to trail workin.

As I work through the images for this trip, I realized that I have a lot of break photographs, here is another one.

Before.

During.

This is the same image from above with a zoom….. notice what is beyond Dan and Brian? Job security!

Another break photo.

After just over three days of hard trail work, it was time to load up the tools and head back to civilization. The hike out will take us 2 days. In all we worked on about 3 miles of trail and cut out over 500 trees.

As we crack over the ridge, check this out!

No wonder things are a bit smokey! Luckily we have a big mountain range between us and it! Stay tuned for the big hike out!
