Mount Rushmore and other fun in Rapid City – South Dakota

After rolling around the Black Hills for a couple of days, you knew it would be time to do the touristic thing and visit Mount Rushmore.

While I did a fairly good job of shooting angles and locations that don’t shore the massive hoards of cone lickers, I can assure you that we were not here alone.

Can you identify the four men carved into this mountain?

As we walked the President’s Trail the views up their noses was pretty good. No bats were noted.

Looks like there may be more room to add additional faces.

Larry?????

While I posted a blog yesterday, this visit was actually made on the 4th. The characters were out.

It started raining and it looked like George was starting to sweat.

Later in the day we had dinner and watched a country band.

Fourth of July Fireworks!

The next day we visited the South Dakota Air and Space Museum.

This museum was actually quite good.

Good, but not as good as the Naval Aviation Museum in Pepsicola!
