Hazard Falls – Payette National Forest – Idaho

Transitioning from hiking around the neighborhoods of Pensacola to the high peaks of Idaho and beyond takes time and patience. Over the last couple of weeks I have been strolling on the hikes around my home in McCall which offer some elevation. The next step is to up the elevation gain and the Hazard Falls hike offers some nice elevation.

Hazard Falls which is not to be confused with Hazard Creek Falls. Today I was joined by Anne and Coco. Coco is in photography training and apparently so am I as when I reviewed my haul of Coco images from the day, non of them made the cut.

Oh what a beautiful day.

Springtime in the forest.

Hazard Creek itself is raging from the snow melt higher up the mountain. Pictures never do it justice or at least images that I take.

Pollock Mountain which will be on this year’s early climbing list. Nicole, you better be ready!

More Pollock Mountain images!

It was a wonderful early season stroll with no ticks! And, a big thank you to whoever cleared the trail of brush and downfall!
