Snow Removal – McCall, Idaho

Scroll down to content

McCall is a winter wonderland! It seems that every 5 years or so, we get so much snow that I need to move some off the roof and deck.

Before…. Looks like a little work is in order before I barbecue my hamburgers.

During…. At least the view is nice. It is so cold that I work for 15 minutes then warm up for 15 minutes, rinse and repeat.

Here is the entry to my front door. Most of the time I am a “Get off My Lawn” kinda guy so lack of access to my front door is ok with me.

After.

The BBQ is now accessible so it is time to get snow off the roof. For my Florida buddies, that tool leaning on the grill is a “Roof Rake”.

This is more or less after. I have been dragging snow off the roof then throwing it off the deck, take a break then repeat. Another couple more days of this then I head back to Pepsi Cola with sore shoulders. It looks easy to pull snow off the roof but it is quite crusty and stubborn.
