With snow in the forecast, it was time to load up the rig and snowbird down south.

Hummmm – I’m not going anywhere near this place! Those of you who follow my blog know why! Check out the Spring trip here.

After a good long day, the first stop is Curt Gowdy State Park in Wyoming.

It was a super long day so I was anxious to have some dinner and get some sleep.

Next day we were off early and made it to Cross Timbers State Park in Kansas.

We would have been here sooner but had to do a Taco Johns wild goose chase in Nebraska.

Sunset over Fall River Lake.

Everyone needs to do at least one cross country trip in their life. One realizes there are some incredibly beautiful places throughout this country.

What has four eyes but can’t see? The Mississippi River! It’s official, we are east coasters now.

Next stop, LeFleur’s Bluff State Park. I don’t see any flowers or a bluff!

This is a surprisingly quiet camp spot literally in downtown Jackson, Mississippi.

Mayes Lake.

Despite the faint hum of the busy city around us, you would never know that you are surrounded by civilization.

Day 4 was just a short drive to home. For the trip, 2400 miles, 37 hours of drive time, 3 and a half days, two cats and one wife. No casualties! A success!
