Today Nicole, Danny, Jill, and I have transferred over to the South of Utah.

In this part of the world there are interesting geological phenomena known as slot canyons, yes, there is a canyon in these rocks.

Back the other way, we have a wash.

Bending in and around the tight rocks of this narrow canyon reveals tighter canyon walls.

At this point the canyon turns into more of a cave and it is also where I was wishing I had a wide angle lens and tripod.

This is not a place one wants to be during a thunderstorm. These canyons are formed with rare, intense and brief downpours.

This slot made for an interesting hiking trail.

The contrast of blue skies and red rocks.

The rock here is made up of old ocean sediments and you can see the deposited layers everywhere.

Glowing red rocks.

Shooting straight up the canyon walls.

At the top, you should probably watch your step as these cliff walls are hidden.
