We woke up the next morning and I gave Zac a list of possible activities for the day, all of which sounded great. He chose Kathy’s Lakes.

These are amazing lakes which are seldom visited.

Of course, we needed to do a little fishing.

Cool cloud formations and I love the old snag on the other side of the lake.

Yesterday’s objective, South Loon Peak.

After chilling for a while and picking off a few ticks, we wondered up over the hill to Upper Kathy’s Lake. This shot back down on Lower Kathy’s is quite spectacular.

Upper Kathy’s where we had lunch and picked a few more ticks.

The next morning, we packed up camp and bumped up and over the ridge.

On top, we had a glorious morning and great view of Lost Art Peak.

Wildflowers!

Helpful! It was a great trip with my new favorite nephew Zac!
